Cross Country
Tom Graham – Graham coached cross country and track for 16 years at Flagler College, beginning in 1978. He retired from leading the men’s team in 1992, but still teaches history at Flagler. During his tenure, numerous runners competed at the NAIA National Championships, and several runner were selected as All-Americans.

Women’s Basketball
Lorraine Rossmeyer — Rossmeyer played Flagler basketball from 1975-1980 (with one season off), and her career included playing for the ‘75, ’76 and ’78 State Championship teams. She was selected as most valuable player in 1976 and 1979, as well as All State in her final year. |
Baseball
John McMahon — McMahon, who played baseball at Flagler in 1980 and 1981, held season and career records for batting average. He was a two-time MVP in ‘80 and ’81, and made the All Decade team in a career that included beating the likes of Florida State and making post-season play for the first time in school history. |
Tennis and Basketball
James Twigg — Twigg was a two-sport star athlete at Flagler between 1974 and 1978. He was a member of the first men’s basketball team for the college, and played on the first national championship tennis team in 1977. He was also selected All-American that year, and with Gordon Jones, he also won the National doubles title. |
Basketball, Softball and Volleyball
Kathy Kessler — Kessler, as a three-sport athlete, racked up numerous accolades, and in the 10 seasons she played, won six state championships. She played basketball and softball from 1975 to 1978, and volleyball from 1976 to 1978. During that time, she was part of teams that won three state championships in basketball (‘75, ’76 and ’77), three softball championships (‘75, ’76 and ’77), and was MVP for basketball in 1978. In basketball, she scored more than 1,500 career points. |
