Sports Medicine Information for Visiting Teams
by Jennifer Rinnert, ATC/LAT

The Flagler College Sports Medicine Staff will be available for assistance during every intercollegiate event held at the Flagler College Gymnasium, the Flagler Tennis Center and the Flagler College Athletic Complex. Our sports medicine staff is committed to providing the best possible care for our visiting student-athletes.

Athletic Training Services
The Athletic Training room in the Flagler College Gymnasium will be open at least 2 hours prior to the start of any intercollegiate event and will remain open approximately 30 minutes after the last event is completed. The Athletic Training room in the Flagler College Gymnasium offers ice, hot packs, electrical stimulation and ultrasound.

A Flagler College Certified Athletic Trainer will be present at all home athletic competitions. A Flagler College team physician will be on-site for all men’s and women’s basketball games. A Flagler College team physician will be on call for all other intercollegiate events.

Water, cups, ice bags, towels and biohazard supplies will be available on the sideline/bench during each competition. Emergency supplies including an AED, crutches, splints, etc. will be available as needed.

Teams Traveling Without a Certified Athletic Trainer
If your team will be traveling without a certified athletic trainer, notification prior to competition is appreciated. The Sports Medicine Staff can not perform any treatments consisting of electrical modalities without a written prescription or plan of care from a Physician or Athletic Trainer. Our sports medicine staff is also available to fulfill taping needs for visiting teams as long as the teams provide their own taping supplies. Please contact Jennifer Rinnert ATC/LAT at (904) 819-6402 for any arrangements that need to be made.
