New athletic director Jud Damon speaks to the Flagler faithful Thursday afternoon.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Jud Damon, the new athletic director of Flagler College, met with members of the College community Thursday (June 25) afternoon at the Markland House. College President Dr. William T. Abare, Jr. introduced Damon to the contingent.

The festivities started at 5 p.m. with food and drinks while Damon met with several members of the President's Advisory Council, the President's Cabinet, Saints Club and athletic deparmtent before taking to the podium.

After Dr. Abare's introduction, Damon followed with a speech before the meet and greet continued until 7 p.m.

CLEVELAND, Ohio − Flagler College had 20 of its student-athletes recognized by the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA). The Academic Achievement Awards, presented by WeatherPORT, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. Flagler was also one-of-five Peach Belt Conference member institutions to have student-athletes honored.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Flagler College officially unveiled its new athletics logos this afternoon. The main logo is a sharper and more dynamic image which incorporates the College’s new colors: crimson and gold. A crimson shield serves as the background with “Flagler” arched over the top of the shield and “Saints” written in the middle portion of the shield.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − The Flagler College athletic department has announced the hiring of five new staff members for the 2010-11 season. Nicole Boone will be an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team, Andrew Garcia will be an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team, Jonathan Holt will be an assistant coach for the baseball team, Meghan Lammerding will be the head coach of the cheerleaders and Steven Samples comes in as an assistant athletic trainer.
