Flagler's Cotrone advances to singles title match

SUMTER, S.C. – The Flagler College junior
David Cotrone (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Christian) has played his way into the championship match of the men’s singles “A” flight at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional at the Palmetto Tennis Center. The tournament continues through Monday.
Cotrone defeated the No. 4-seed Mikk Irdoja 6-4, 7-6 (6-4) to advance to Monday’s finals. Earlier, Cotrone beat the No. 7-seed Nandor Solymosi 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the semifinal round against Irdoja.
Cotrone will take on Armstrong Atlantic’s Rafael Array, the No. 9-seed, in the championship match.
