Flagler's Cotrone falls in title match

SUMTER, S.C. – The Flagler College junior David Cotrone (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Christian) run through the men’s singles “A” flight ended today as lost 6-1 and 6-2 to No. 9-seed Rafael Array of Armstrong Atlantic State at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

Cotrone battled illness and fatigue today but had one of the most memorable runs in the four-day tournament as he knocked off four seeded players including the No. 1 seed.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Flagler College men’s tennis team moved up to No. 16 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II Top 45 Poll released Wednesday afternoon. Flagler opened the season ranked No. 34. The Flagler men were also ranked No. 6 in the Southeast Region.
