PANAMA CITY, Fla. − The Flagler College men’s golf team holds a commanding 15-stroke lead after the first round of the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate played Monday afternoon at the Hombre Golf Club (par 72; 6541 yards).
Andrew Pressentin (Estero, Fla./Miami Palmetto HS) is the leader in the clubhouse after carding a 4-under par 68. The final round of 18 will be played tomorrow.
Flagler shot 285 (3-under) as a team. There is a three-way tie for second place between North Greenville University, Newberry College and Georgia Southwestern State University.
Pressentin holds a two-shot lead over Craig Gibson of Georgia Southwestern. Five more golfers finished with an even par 72.
In the group of five at even par are
Joel Dahlenburg (St. Augustine, Fla./Batram Trail HS) and
Justin Wingo (Fairfax, Va./George Mason U.). Flagler’s
Chris Bray (Hilliard, Fla./Hilliard HS) is in a tie for eighth place with a 1-over 73. Rounding out the Saints is
Patrick Lamb (Lake Wales, Fla./Western Carolina U.) who shot a 2-over 74 and is in 11th place.
