AMERICUS, Ga. − Whitley Wiltz scored a game-high 20 points and completed the double-double with a game-high 10 rebound to lead Georgia Southwestern State University to a 74-45 victory over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday night at the Storm Dome.

Georgia Southwestern snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 10-13 overall and 5-8 in the Peach Belt while Flagler suffered its third consecutive set-back and fell to 7-16 overall and 2-12 in league play.

Wiltz did most of her damage in the first half where she tallied 14 points and seven rebounds. Jessica Bivins came off the bench to supply 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Terra Branch added 11 points and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

The Lady Hurricanes defense held the Saints to its worst shooting tally of the season – 23.6% (13-55) – and forced 29 turnovers. Georgia Southwestern out-scored Flagler 21-8 to close the first half and take a 40-26 lead into the break.

Jalisa Foster (St. Petersburg, Fla./Pinellas Park HS) scored a team-high 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Charlsea Owen (St. Augustine, Fla./Pedro Menendez HS) added eight points and five rebounds for Flagler.

Flagler will host Augusta State on Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Gym. The game is part of the national WBCA Pink Zone campaign which raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for finding a cure for breast cancer and a 50-50 raffle will take place with half of the proceeds going to the Kay Yow Foundation.
