PANAMA CITY, Fla. − The Flagler College men’s golf team won the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon at the Hombre Golf Club (par 72; 6541 yards). The Saints posted a 580 for the 36-hole tournament and won by 20 strokes over second place North Greenville University.
Joel Dahlenburg (St. Augustine, Fla./Bartram Trail HS) took home medalist honors with a 3-under par 141.
This is the first tournament Flagler has won since claiming the North-South Intercollegiate Mar. 13, 2007 at Jacksonville Beach.
North Greenville placed second with a score of 600 and was followed by Columbus State’s 608.
Dahlenburg edged out teammate
Andrew Pressentin (Estero, Fla./Miami Palmetto HS) who finished with a 1-under 143 for the top spot. Pressentin was the leader in the clubhouse after the first 18 with a 68.
Patrick Lamb (Lake Wales, Fla./Western Carolina U.) finished in a tie for fifth place with a 147 while
Chris Bray (Hilliard, Fla./Hilliard HS) shot a 151.
Justin Wingo (Fairfax, Va./George Mason U.) rounded out the scorers for Flagler with a 156.
Flagler hosts Rollins College in a dual-match at the Palencia Club on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
