COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 8 Columbus State University (ITA Division II) edged No. 34 Flagler College 5-4 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Blackmon Tennis Complex.

Columbus State improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the Peach Belt while Flagler fell to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in the conference.

David Cotrone (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Christian) and Gino Ramirez (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Dr. Michael Krop HS) rolled to an 8-2 win over eighth-ranked Christophe Noblet and Frank Suarez, 8-2. Gordon Divljak and Nemanja Djuric squeaked out an 8-6 win over Harry Snoxell (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Prep) and Tim Hansson.

Cotrone (No. 6) won a top 25 showdown at No. 1 singles against Suarez (No. 16) in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2. Snoxell won in three sets over Martin Shishkov 6-3, 4-6 and 6-3 at No. 3 and Peter Coulis (Bradenton, Fla./Edison Academic Center) downed Divljak 7-5, 2-6 and 7-6 at No. 4.

Flagler hosts No. 9 Concordia College of Bronxville, N.Y., Mar. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
