ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Flagler College men’s tennis team routed Saint Leo University 9-0 to open its 2010 spring campaign in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.
Saint Leo dropped to 0-2.
David Cotrone (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Christian), the sixth-ranked singles player in Division II, rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 straight sets victory over Pablo Chavez at No. 1 singles. All six singles flights were won by Flagler in straight sets.
Flagler also found little trouble in doubles play winning 8-2, 8-1 and 8-1.
Flagler hosts former NAIA rival Webber International University on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
