MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. − Flagler College senior outfielder
Brittney Hatem (Hialeah, Fla./Wallace CC-Dothan) was selected to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region Softball second team released this afternoon. Hatem is the first All-Region selection in the brief two-year history of the Flagler program.
Hatem batted a team-high .368 and led the team in hits (64), runs scored (38), total bases (90) and stolen bases (18). She also led the team with 21 multi-hit games and had the longest hitting streak of the season with an 11-game streak. Hatem played all 52 games in left field and helped lead Flagler to a 28-24 season, a 10-10 record in its inaugural season in the Peach Belt Conference and the team’s first-ever post-season berth to the conference tournament.
Hatem was a second-team All-Peach Belt Conference selection and was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player. She owns most of Flagler’s game, season and career offensive records.
Sports Information Directors from the Peach Belt Conference, South Atlantic Conference and the Conference Carolinas nominated and voted for the All-Region teams. First-team region selections advance to the All-America ballot.
