AUGUSTA, Ga. – Chelsea Taylor (Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Prep) of Flagler College was selected to the Peach Belt Conference’s Women’s Tennis All-Academic First-Team which was released Wednesday morning by conference officials.
Taylor has posted a 14-4 record in singles play this season and holds and 8-4 record playing at No. 6 singles. She is undefeated in six singles matches playing at No. 5. Taylor is also 8-4 in doubles play when teamed with
Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario/Vaughan Road Academy). Taylor is also holding a 3.69 grade point average in a dual major of philosophy and religion.
Flagler will take on Francis Marion in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on Friday (May 7) at 2 p.m. in Savannah, Ga.

First-team selections: Stephanie Humphrey (USC Aiken), Alisa Kagukina (Armstrong Atlantic), Alida Muller-Wehlau (Armstrong Atlantic), Chelsea Taylor (Flagler), Brittany Telford (USC Aiken) and Hanane Toumi (Columbus State).
Second-team selections: Sabrina Baberadova (Francis Marion), Diane Danna (GCSU), Marina Ferreira (Augusta State), Jitka Gavdunova (Francis Marion), Mathilde Grenet (USC Aiken) and Kathleen Henry (Armstrong Atlantic).
