The 2010 schedule has been released.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Flagler College head women’s soccer coach Teddy Meyer has released the 2010 fall schedule which includes 18 regular season matches, including eight home matches. The Saints will also play two exhibition matches, one at home and one on the road.

Flagler is coming off an 8-9-1 season which included a 4-5-1 mark in the Peach Belt Conference, in its inaugural season in the league.

Two exhibition matches in August will open the 2010 slate. On Aug. 22, Flagler will host South Georgia College at 1 p.m. and will wrap up its pre-season schedule at Rollins College on Aug. 28.

The Saints open the regular season with four consecutive road games. The first two are against Conference Carolina members, Queens University of Charlotte (9-11-1 in 2009) and Pfeiffer University (11-6-3), on Sept 3 and Sept. 5, respectively. Flagler follows by taking on old rival Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Sept. 8. The Eagles won The Sun Conference’s regular season and capped it with the post-season tournament title. Flagler wraps up its road trip, and kicks off its Peach Belt schedule, at the University of Montevallo on Sept. 11.

On Sept. 15, the Saints will finally play at home when they host regional opponent Lynn University at 5 p.m. Flagler will follow with two more home matches. UNC Pembroke visits Flagler on Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. and Eckerd comes in on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.

The Saints play the next four-out-of-six matches on the road. A trip to Clayton State College on Sept. 25 is followed by a home match against regional opponent Florida Southern College on Sept. 28. Florida Southern played in the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament last year. USC Aiken ventures to St. Augustine for a match on Oct. 2.

Flagler hits the road for the next four matches. On Oct. 6, the Saints head to Melbourne, Fla., for a neutral site match against Palm Beach Atlantic. Oct. 9, Flagler takes on last year’s conference tournament runners-up, Lander University. They follow that up with a trip to Coker College on Oct. 13 and finish at Georgia College & State University, on Oct. 16.

The Saints host three matches in a row at home starting with defending PBC Tournament champion, Armstrong Atlantic State University, on Oct. 20. The home schedule wraps up with North Georgia College & State University on Oct. 23 and the home finale to Oct. 27 against Georgia Southwestern State University.

Flagler ends the regular season at five-time Peach Belt Conference champion, Columbus State University, on Oct. 30.

The conference tournament first round will be played Nov. 2 at the higher seed and the semifinals and final will be held at Evans, Ga., Nov. 5-7.
