ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Flagler College sophomore women's cross country runner
April Robinson (St. Augustine, Fla./Pedro Menendez HS) was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District® III women's cross country/track & field first-team, released this afternoon. She is now eligible for Academic All-America honors which will be released later this month.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.
Robinson has a perfect 4.00 grade point average and is majoring in elementary education. She ran a season-best time of 21:56.69 at the flrunners.com Invitational. Robinson also earned Academic All-Peach Belt Conference honors as well as making the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division II All-Academic Team.
Robinson joined fellow Peach Belt runner Amanda Doyle of Francis Marion University on the 10-women team.
