Flagler College Athletics

STARKVILLE, Miss. − Flagler College recruit Katie Enright (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills HS) was selected to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Second-Team which was released Friday afternoon. Of the 48 honorees to the three teams, she is one of only two non-NCAA Division I signees and the lone Division II signee.

Enright was also named the North Jersey Softball Player of the Year after leading Indian Hills High to a 33-2 record and its first state and Bergen County titles. She won 31 games, which tied a state record, and posted a 0.27 earned run average for the Braves. Enright tossed 21 shutouts, struck out 322 batters and only allowed nine earned runs in 230 innings pitched. She also hit .330 with 16 runs batted in. Enright was a first-team All-New Jersey, All-Group 2 and All-Bergen County selection.

Flagler College finished its second year of fastpitch softball with a 28-24 overall record and a 10-10 mark in its inaugural season in the Peach Belt Conference.
