AUGUSTA, Ga. − Junior midfielder
Johan Bergfeld (Akers Styckebruk, Sweden/Rekarnegymnasiet) and sophomore midfielder
Joseph Toby (Jacksonville, Fla./Wolfson HS) were selected to the All-Peach Belt Conference Preseason Men’s Soccer Team which was released this afternoon by conference officials.
Bergfled was a first-team all-conference selection last year after playing in 22 games and scoring two goals and adding two assists. He was also selected to the all-tournament team and garnered academic all-conference honors.
Toby was selected as the 2009 PBC Freshman of the Year after scoring four goals and adding six assists. He tied for the team-lead in assists and ranked eighth in the conference in that category.
Flagler joined the University of Montevallo, Lander University and North Georgia College & State University as the only schools to place as many as two players on the team.
Flagler opens the 2010 campaign at No. 2 (NSCAA/NCAA Division II Top 25) Lees-McRae College on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. in Banner Elk. Flagler’s home opener is Sept. 18 vs. UNC Pembroke at 7 p.m.
