SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Flagler College men's tennis team is ranked No. 12 in the Campbell/ITA Division II Preseason Top 25, according to a release.

The Saints were ranked No. 12 in the final 2011 poll after posting a 12-8 overall record and advanced to the final of the Savannah Regional.

Flagler is one of seven Peach Belt Conference schools ranked in the Top 25. The PBC is arguably one of the toughest conferences, top-to-bottom, in Division II.

Defending national champion Valdosta State University tops the preseason rankings. Last year's national runners-up, Barry University are tabbed for second while PBC-power Armstrong Atlantic State University was picked for third. Concordia College of New York is fourth and Lynn University is fifth.

Joining Armstrong in Flagler from the Peach Belt in the rankings is: No. 9 Columbus State University; No. 11 Lander University; No. 13 Augusta State; No. 14 Francis Marion University; and, No. 15 Georgia College.

Flagler is ranked No. 4 in the Southeast Region.

Flagler opens the 2012 season on Feb. 19 at SCAD Savannah at 3 p.m. The Saints will debut at home on Mar. 3 against Peach Belt-rival North Georgia College & State University.
