ST. AUGUSTINE - The Flagler College Department of Athletics has announced its 2011 Fall Athletics “Theme Nights”.

The fall theme nights kick-off with “Soccer in the Sand” on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Saints Field. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear beach attire and participate in the Hawaiian themed soccer game.

Volleyball kicks off their first theme night with “80's Night Throwback” on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Flagler Gymnasium. Dress up in your best 80's costume and take place in the costume contest in-between the second and third sets. Eighties music will be played all night long, dress to impress!

“Zaxby's Shut Out Night” on Saturday, Oct. 1 is set up to be one of the biggest crowds Flagler Soccer has ever seen! If the Flagler Saints are able to shut out rival Lander University, everyone in attendance will receive a free “Nibbler” at Zaxby's! The night is also highlighted by a $25,000 kicking contest; two lucky fans will have a chance to kick for $25,000!!! To participate in the contest, raffle tickets will be on sale prior to the event, keep an eye out on how to purchase your tickets!

“Friends of Flagler Night” on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. we invite all the local St. Augustine and St. John's County students and local businesses to come out and support the Flagler Soccer teams. Also it is family weekend here at Flagler College, come by and have a blast!

It's “Halloween Fright Night” on Saturday, Oct. 29 for the volleyball and women's soccer matches. Costume contest during the volleyball match, at 2 p.m., and the soccer match, at 6 p.m., winners will be announced at halftime of the women's soccer game. Dress up in your best Halloween costume and win a special prize!

Volleyball's Battle of the Peach, “Camo Night” will cap of the fall theme night season. Everyone is attendance is asked to wear their camouflage gear. Camouflage war face paint will be available at the door. Flagler takes on rival Armstrong Atlantic, Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
