Click here to view the polls (PDF)NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Flagler College women's cross country team remains at No. 7 in the latest Southeast Region rankings released today (Oct. 6) by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The women's team is coming off of a third place finish in the non-Division I portion of the Florida State University Cross Country Invitational which was held on Oct. 2.
Lauren Rodriguez led the Saints with a 10
th place finish in the 5K race posting a time of 19:37.50.
Six of the 10 teams that comprise the regional ranking are members of the Peach Belt Conference. Topping the list again is the University of Montevallo. The University of North Georgia and the University of North Carolina Pembroke are Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Columbus State University follows Flagler at No. 8 while Young Harris College is No. 10.
The South Atlantic Conference has the other four spots in the ranking. Wingate University, Anderson University and Queens University of Charlotte follow Montevallo in Nos. 2-4. Coker College is No. 8.
Flagler's final regular season meet is this Saturday (Oct. 10) at the 20
th annual Disney Classic which will begin at 8:20 a.m. The race will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
