NEW ORLEANS – The Flagler College men's cross country team moved up one spot in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region ranking which was released Wednesday, Oct. 12.
Flagler is one of six PBC teams ranked in the top 10 and is the highest ranked team in the league. Augusta University dropped to No. 5 while UNC Pembroke jumped up two spots to No. 6. Columbus State University, the University of Montevallo and Young Harris College complete the top 10.
The University of Mount Olive remains the top ranked team in the region.
The Saints finished in second place at the NCAA Division II Pre-Nationals last Saturday. Flagler was led by
Erik Hartley who finished in sixth place with an 8K time of 27:06.26.
The postseason for Flagler starts on Saturday, Oct. 22 with the Peach Belt Conference Championship in Milledgeville, Georgia at 9 a.m.
