BOSTON, Mass. - The Flagler College men's track and field finished their indoor season at the Last Chance National Qualifier held at Boston University, this past weekend.
Traveling was a roster of seven runners for the Saints, to compete in the 3000 meter run and the distance medley relay. Leading the charge for the Saints in the 3K was
Finn Russell, who set a new personal best 8:25.83. Russell was followed by
Brandon Knieja who finished in 8:33.15, taking the 23rd spot.
Francisco Ramirez was the final individual finisher, taking 38th place at 9:10.27.
The relay team of
Will Stone,
Kaleb Hollins,
Luke Larkin and
John Carbone had a standout performance. Placing third, the squad ran a 9:46.18, setting an NCAA provisional time and placing them 16th in the nation. The four narrowly missed their NCAA nationals qualification as the top-12 teams get in.
